BABY UPDATE!

So i was up way too early thismorning. 7am. I am really enjoying my sleep lately and i get totally exhausted if i dont sleep late in the morning which means i usually have to nap!

29 weeks

i had an ob appointment today at 9am. after waiting almost an hour i was finally seen..lol

i have gained 1 lb. in the past 2 weeks which brings my grand total to..9 lbs! i can't believe i am in my 7th month and have only gained 9 pounds so far and some of that is baby!!

also..

I PASSED MY 1 HOUR GLUCOSE TEST!

that was such a relief. my mom had gestational diabetes with me and my sister and now she has diabetes so i was scared that i would get it as well.

my bloodwork came back good except i have low iron. so all i need to do is take an iron pill everyday. not too bad

Giada's heartbeat was nice and fast and sounded great.

They said that hte pains i have been getting in my belly are normal and everything looks good.

I have another appointment in 2 more weeks andi am waiting for a call with an appoinment to see the high risk doctor since we havent been able to see Giada's spine in the right angle and because i started prozac so i need to get a level 2 ultrasound.

MENU PLAN MONDAY (on tuesday)

Last week went ALMOST as planned with only a couple of changes. Monday we ended up going food shopping and stopping at mcdonalds for a quick dinner since it was getting late and i was craving it! Tuesday i made chili and it came out great.. it was a hit and i was quite proud of myself :) Wednesday i made homemade soup for the first time..cheesy potato broccolli soup.. it came out pretty good for my first time and i got to use my emersion(sp?) blender. i wanted sourdough baguette but the store had none so i settled for italian and toasted it up in the oven to dip in the soup. Thursday i made the hot dogs and kraut with beans-something simple. Friday we went to Oatback Steakhouse for date night and had a great meal. Saturday i ended up eating at my parents and on Sunday the people staying here for a bit cooked dinner so i didnt end up cooking.

Things are going to be a bit crazy meal wise for the next month or so.. with guests staying at my fiance's for awhile and we are in the process of cleaning my bedroom at my house so i can switch rooms with my sister since she doesnt live ther anymore and me and my fiance and the baby are going to be moving to my parents house (my house) in april befor Giada comes since his mom will be moving to Ohio. So i will be eating at my house more often as well as preparing meals there.

MONDAY- we ended up having shells and sauce with baked chicken at my parents house. i brought pasta over since thats what i had planned for Sunday

TUESDAY- ~~frozen gnocchi with butter and cheese, brussel sprouts (im having a craving)~~

WEDNESDAY - ~~no idea yet.. my fiance is off and we have stuff to do so we will probably get something simple~~

THURSDAY -burgers, fries, beans and mac salad at my house

FRIDAY- its my mommy and nephews bday and we are going to also celebrate my sisters bday as well since we all havent been able to get together..so Pizza Hut and cake at my parents house

SATURDAY- no idea yet again.. probably something simple. i need to go shopping because i am out of meat and dont want to live off pasta!

SUNDAY - its superbowl sunday. my fiance is probably working so i will spend the day at my parents house with my mom because my dad will be gone for the day. we are thinking of maybe some munchie food through the day and rachel rays honey lemon chicken in the crockpot for dinner?

TODAY...

I go in for bloodwork and 1 hour glucose test.

Iate some cheerios with sliced banana for breakfast since i was allowed to eat something.. but i couldnt have my morning juice because im sure its too sugary.

I am going later this afternoon and i will let everyone know how it goes when i get home and i will have an updated baby bump pic as well to post!!

RECIPE: CHILI

CHILI

I made chili last night and it came out so good i wanted to share how i made it. It was easy and frugal!

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1/2 huge vidalia onion

1 green pepper

1 red pepper

packet of chili seasoning/mix

1 can diced tomatoes undrained

2 cans kidney beans undrained

ketchup

First i put some vegetable oil into the skillet and cooked the onion until translucent.

I then transfered them into a big pot.

Next i cooked the peppers until they still had a slight crunch and added them to the pot

(of course u can cook both together but i felt more comfortable cooking them seperate)

Then i cooked the ground beef until it was cooked through and used a slotted spoon to drain it as i added it to the pot.
I put the diced tomatoes, kidney beans and chili mix in next

I squeezed a generous amount of ketchup in (because thats what my mom does and it makes the chili more sweet. thats how i like my chili, i dont eat it spicy)

I stirred everything and just let it cook low for about a half an hour while i put some easy add water to dry mix biscuits into the oven.

I served the chili with some mild chedder cheese and a scoop of sour cream on the top.

It was yummy and we all loved it!

I decided to add an extra can of kidney beans instead of just 1 because i wanted to stretch the chili out a bit. it was enough to feed 3 and there are leftovers!!

QUESTION: FATHERS BATHING THEIR DAUGHTERS

I was just in a forum and saw this question posted in "debate and discuss" and i was outraged. the person that had posted was stating how people dont approve of her husband (the father) bathing their 3 year old daughter. and people looking at it as sexual..disgusting..who would even think that way!

I for one have no problem with it and i think its great if the father is willing to help out by bathing the child .There is nothing wrong with it. and whoever thinks there is a problem has issues. its not at all sexual when it is your daughter! and the fact anyone would think that way disgusts me.
i do feel though that there will come a time when the dad or daughter start to feel uncomfortable and then of course it should stop.
like once they can bathe themselves and be alone in the shower (idk how old that even happens.)
but 3 years old? come on.. thats still baby age!
Who is supposed to bathe their daughter when the guy is a single dad? or mom isnt around?
How come no one sees it as a problem when a mom bathes her son?

Now for the questions:

What are your opinions on the father bathing their child?

What age do you think it should stop?

I am so excited.. tomorrow i will be 28 weeks along (7 months!) time is definatly flying by!!

*Its so much harder to roll from one side to another and get out of bed now*...but its so worth it and i love my big belly.

MENU PLAN MONDAY

Unfortunatly.. last week did not go as planned. But i am going to try to stick to this week. and honestly i really need to stick to this weeks menu plan because its the end of the month and i dont have much money. so i am using a lot from the pantry again and only need to pick up a few staples along with milk and maybe bread.

Here is my plan for this week:

MONDAY: no idea - my fiance is off work and i found $10 in my purse so if we can get his car started or use his moms car we will probably go somewhere and get a cheap dinner.

TUESDAY: chili , chedder bisquits

WEDNESDAY: cheesy broccoli potato soup , sourdough baguette

THURSDAY: hot dogs, kraut, baked beans

FRIDAY: date night!! we are going to Outback steakhouse. we got money from my parents for a night out for christmas so i am using that money for a much needed night out.

SATURDAY:blueberry pancakes, bacon OR sausage links

SUNDAY: breaded baked zuchinni, pasta with red sauce, garlic toast

DESSERTS: pb&j cookies , lemon cake with lemon icing

BABY UPDATE!

i have been slacking and shouldn't be. i didnt get a chance to write about my last ob appointment but i will do my best to keep up from now on.
we went on wednesday the 19th for my appt. we got there and there was a ton of people in the waiting room. we ended up having to wait for 1 1/2 hours!! usually i am in and out of there. but due to snow the week before i guess they were overbooked. also the clinic i go to is only open on wednesdays so they have to try to squeeze everyone in.
i gained: 2 pounds
only 2 pounds! i have no clue how im not really gaining much. i am eating!!
my blood pressure was ok, only a little higher then usual but nothing to be concerned about.
checked her heartbeat which was good- i still love hearing her heartbeat. we have to record it next time:)
and i was told that i need to go in for routine bloodwork and the dreaded 1 hour glocuse test. my fiance is off on friday so we will go that day.
and next week starts my every 2 weeks appointments.. means its getting closer and closer to baby time!

so i had left smiling after knowing Giada is doing well and after talking to the social worker about some things. then as my fiance was backing out of our parking spot.. DING!!!! some guy decided to pull out at the same time and not pay attention and hit the back /side of the car. randy got out of the car and started yelling at the guy. the guy admitted that he "didnt see us". mind you this was in a parking lot with tons of PREGNANT WOMEN!!! thankfully it wasnt that hard of a bump and there was no dents or anything but it still scared me and i was scared for the baby. but when i felt her move again i knew everything was ok. some people are so careless!

10 MINUTE DINNER FROM THE PANTRY

so last week i had planned to make rice and beans and use taco mix instead of the goya packets that are normally used.
well.. i THOUGHT i had a packet of taco mix in the pantry.. i didnt
LESSON LEARNED: stock up on taco mix in case of emergencies!!!
i was all upset that i couldnt make what i wanted for dinner and i decided maybe ill just make porkchops.. i didnt like how they smelled (figures) so they went right in the trash.
what to do? what to do?
so i go into the pantry...start searching around...
*angels singing here*
i found Knorr Mexican Rice!! PERFECT!
problem solved...
so i ended up cooking the rice as directed and in the last 7 minutes when it was simmering i threw in a can of kidney beans to heat up in the pot with the rice. i opened a can of corn and put that in the microwave for a couple minutes. i heated up a tortilla for 15 seconds and then put the rice and beans, some shredded cheese, sour cream and salsa and made a burrito. i served the corn on the side.
it came out great. my fiance loved it and i had the leftovers for lunch the next day in a bowl.
i was so excited i was able to throw together such a quick dinner that didnt cost much and i had everything in the pantry. it is definatly worth stocking up on canned veggies and beans when they are on sale as well as some rice mixes and pasta mixes.

MOMMY MONDAYS

i figured i will be a new mommy in 3 months so why not join Mommy Mondays? this is my first time posting/linking up.

Here is a little about me. I am 26 and engaged to my amazing fiance Randy since 12/25/08. We are expecting our first baby - ITS A GIRL!! and we are naming her Giada Michelle. Yes, we chose the name Giada after the food network star:) and Michelle is my middle name and my mom's. I am 27 weeks along and will be 28 weeks on wednesday. thats 7 months! time is flying. I love to eat and i eat about every 3 hours now or i feel sick. She is very active and moves, rolls and kicks alot and it is the most amazing feeling. i love feeling her in my belly. my pregnancy was so hard the first 5 almost 6 months with constant nausea and a bad stomach bug and not being able to eat. it was just miserable. now that im 7 months things are starting to get better with the exception of normal pregnancy aches and pains but it is all worth it and no complaints..(even when i get those horrible charlie horses in my leg!)

i have never really had much fudge. but i would love to try something different like a cookies and cream fudge. but from what ive had, just plain old fudge is good in my book.

2. Is there snow outside your window?

yes but it is practically all melted now. its taking awhile from the last couple of snow storms for it to all melt

3. What is your favorite meal of the day?

since i got pregnant.. id have to say..breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks inbetween! lol. i am loving eating. i eat about every 3 hours now because if i dont i start to feel sick.

4. Do you text on your cell phone?

all day, everyday, anywhere, everywhere. my cell phone is my lifeline!

5. Waffles or pancakes?

frozen waffles, homemade pancakes (from a mix of course)

I cannot believe i am 27 weeks already. i will be 7 months in 1 week! time is flying and my belly keeps getting bigger and bigge. i love it !

GOOD OLD HEARTBURN

Last night i experienced

THE WORST HEARTBURN OF MY LIFE.

i sat up in bed and just prayed it would calm down so i could lay back down. it was 1am and i had almost fell asleep then it hit me. like a ton of bricks!

my stomache felt like it was literally on fire and i thought i was going to throw up.

after drinking some water and going to the bathroom i went into the kitchen and open the fridge

(insert angels singing here)

there it was.. the MAALOX

i took 2 spoons of it and went back to the bedroom and continued to sit up and watch tv. about 15-20 minutes later i started to feel some relief and laid back down and went to sleep.

all i can say is..

THANK GOD FOR MAALOX!

EVERY PREGNANT WOMAN SHOULD HAVE IT HANDY

i was sitting on the couch and Giada started to kick me and roll around or something

so i decided to watch my belly for awhile

MONDAY: pulled pork sammies, coleslaw, baked beans (thanks to my mom and dad!)

TUESDAY: leftovers!

WEDNESDAY: homemade mac and cheese, stewed tomatoes, peas

THURSDAY: ~~stuffed french toast, eggs, bacon~~
we were out most of the day. i had leftovers and i made the fiance 2 grilled cheese sandwhiches

FRIDAY: rice and beans, tortillas, cheese, sour cream, salsa

SATURDAY: ~~pork chops, au gratin potatoes, spinach~~
i didnt like how the pork smelled so i ended up making meatloaf, baked ptatoes and spinach

SUNDAY: ~~pasta night (not sure exactly what kind yet)~~
we had so much pasta last week that i decided to skip it this week. we are having subway with the leftover giftcard from christmas and a coupon!

DESSERTS/TREATS: ~~pbj cookies ( i need a recipe)~~
never got to these! putting them on next week

SICK - for the 3rd time

I was hoping to get this blog caught up with my baby bump pics and to actually stick to my menu plan..
BUT..
i came down with a horrible cough- for the THIRD time since i got pregnant and i am only 26 weeks!
i have been up all night coughing and sleeping in 2 hour increments. i know most will say to get used to it because the baby will keep you up.
WELL..
i am aware of that..lol..but i would LOVE to be able to sleep UNTIL she gets here! but since i keep getting sick and am starting to get insomnia again it makes it alot harder for me to do.
i couldnt call the clinic because they were closed so i called maternity. the ob called me back (which i havent even met or seen yet) and didnt seem like there was much concern. so he called me in a zpack and that was that.
i didnt feel comfortable not being seen before getting a perscription so i finally gave in and went to the ER. mainly because my primary doctor wont treat me pregnant and the clinic was closed (where i go for my ob appointments) and due to my insurance i cant go to a walk in medical place either so the ER is my only option.
my blood pressure was a bit high but my oxygen was ok. im not sure if i had a temp because they didnt tell me . i got seen pretty much right away in the other area of the hospital- urgent care i believe. no one was there at all which was nice. the lady just checked my nose and throat and told me to take the zpack i was told to take.
they couldnt do an xray since im pregnant and i was shocked they didnt even do a throat culture.
needless to say..i am very sick and miserable. i was up all night coughing and barely slept at all. i just hope this goes away soon so i can enjoy the end of my pregnancy!!!

EDIT: i forgot to mention.. oh how fun it is to practically pee myself numerous times a day while coughing..love it! LOL

TUESDAY: hot open turkey sandwhiches, instant mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, cranberry sauce

WEDNESDAY: ~~stuffed french toast , bacon~~
we went out for the day and my fiance's mom treated us to a late lunch at Pizza Hut so i decided not to cook a big dinner. they had leftover pizza and i ended up having a yogurt

THURSDAY: kelbasa with potatoes and onions, green beans

FRIDAY: had subway with a gift card we had i was sick couldnt cook-moved sloppy joes to another day

SATURDAY: ~~old fashioned homemade mac and cheese , stewed tomatoes , peas~~ this will be made next week
sloppy joes , ranch potato fries

SUNDAY: crockpot chicken cacciatore (from ALL YOU magazine), angel hair pasta, garlic toast

I didnt have to change much to the weeks menu. we had a late lunch on wednesday so i didnt make the stuffed french toast and bacon so that will probably be made for breakfast this weekend. i was going to make sloppy joes on thursday but my fiance wont be home for dinner and the fries probably wont heat up good so thats moved to friday. then i moved the mac and cheese to saturday.

Food!

What is your child{ren}s favorite food to eat and what are their ages? What do they refuse to eat? Do you have any funny stories from meal time to share with us?

I am currently 25 1/2 weeks pregnant with my first baby, a girl!

so i will just tell you what i have been craving lately.

since before i found out i was pregnant i was craving strawberries. anything and everything strawberry related. i had stuffed french toast with strawberry topping from IHOP 2 days before i found out i was pregnant!

i have also been into over easy eggs with toast for breakfast a lot and definatly cereal!
im loving chips and cookies with milk. i havent had any odd craving yet but i still have 3 months to go!

GIRL!!!

i scheduled my 20 week ultrasound a few weeks ago. when we got there and i went to register i had the wrong paperwork! i didnt have the pink sheet of paper with an x by the ultrasound. so they wouldnt take me. so there i was..bladder full, nearly peeing myself and crying to the lady because i had my hopes up and couldnt wait to get my ultrasound done and didnt want to reschedule. well..she called maternity and no one was there to write the script and clinic is closed on fridays. so i was S.O.L. so my fiance cursed at her and i left hysterical!
so.. GENDER ULTRASOUND #1 = FAIL!!

then i finally got to reschedule my ultrasound maybe a week or 2 later. well.. the day before my appointment i woke up and had some bleeding (it was sex related). so i called the nurse and the doctor called me back and wanted me to come in so he could check me and the baby even though the bleeding had stopped. they decided to do the ultrasound while we were there instead of coming back the next day to get the gender ultrasound. well.l. everything turned out to be ok with baby.. BUT.. the baby had its legs crossed! so after an hour worth of an ultrasound and nearly peeing the table.. we didnt get to find out what baby was!
so.. GENDER ULTRASOUND #2 = FAIL!!

i go to my normal monthly ob appoinment on december 22nd and i tell my doctor that they couldnt find out what baby was cuz its legs were crossed.. she looked at my paperwork and told me that they didnt see the babys spine so i would have to go in and get another ultrasound. i was so excited that i would be able to get another one. i wasnt sure when or if they would do another one before baby was born and i totally was not into not knowing and getting gender nuetral stuff.. NO WAY!

DECEMBER 31, 2010
ultrasound appointment at 8am.. i drank as much water as i could , ate a piece of cherry pudding cake and drank some sunny d as suggested by quite a few people because orange juice apparantly makes the baby move! we got there on time and i was able to register and had the right paperwork this time. we had to wait for a little while but in that time the baby really started to kick me. so my fiance and his mom were able to feel the baby kick for the first time. now i cant wait for my mom to feel the baby kick!! we went into the room and the tech let my fiance and his mom come right in because she was really only looking for a picture of the spine. WELL.. that was unsuccessful. the baby was on its back the last time and this time we could see the spine but not the right angle she wanted to see it.BUT.. my fiance had asked if she could tell what the baby is when we first started..lol..so she said she had to look for what i was there for and then she would check. she randomly said out of nowhere...

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!

needless to say.. i cried. and cried and cried. my fiance was so excited and so was his mom. we got our baby girl. i wanted a healthy baby and would have been happy with a boy but we had a feeling from the beginning that it was a girl. and everyone i came in contact with said i was having a girl! so i had a feeling and had my hopes up. so i am very happy.

i know i have been slacking and havent been keeping everyone updated about my pregnancy like i had planned on doing. its been a rough few months and i havent wanted to be on the computer much. but i have decided that from now on i will share everything i can about appointments and feelings and the baby, ect.. so look forward to more posts from me!!

2nd Prenatal Appt. (9/29/10)

So, i had my 2nd prenatal appointment on 9/29/10. I know i am a bit late writing this but i haven't gotten to it yet.

The first appointment i went to was just a pap smear and breast exam..so i was pretty excited about this one.

I went in and had to pee in a cup (this is totally going to get harder once i get bigger!) they need to check protein and sugar i think so i have to do that everytime.

Then after waiting forever i got to see the dr. i got my results for my pap test... not so good

atypical cells so i need to get another test done ..im not sure when.

but lets hope im ok and this doesnt affect the baby.

I talked to the doctor a bit about my nausea and how the reglan wasnt working very good anymore so she wrote me a script for zofran.

After that came the part i was looking forward too..

hearing baby's heartbeat<3

WELL... unsuccessful

she tried for what seemed like forever and just couldnt hear the heartbeat. I was getting very nervous and nearly in tears. she kept saying oh its normal sometimes to not hear it yet on the doppler.. but me being a first time mom totally freaked out

especially because i had heard the babys heartbeat at 7 weeks a month earlier

so she gave me a script to get an ultrasound

we thought id end up getting an appointment for tomorrow but one of the other nurses went to the other room and called across the street to the hospital and they were able to get me in right away for an ultrasound.

I drank a crapload of water on the short ride over there and got seen fairly quickly

Got onto the table and the tech put the magic wand on my belly and bam there was baby..

turned up the sound and i heard the heartbeat

what a relief

176 bmp

i couldnt believe how big he/she got since my first ultrasound at 7 weeks

baby was swimming so fast in there too

the tech actually put the wand on me and held it still and i could see baby swim back and forth

it was amazing

im so glad that baby is ok

hopefully the doppler works when i go back later this month!!!

PREGNANCY SIDE EFFECT #2 : APPETITE

I thought i would write a quick post about last night..

To start, the past few days have been extremely hard for me and i havent felt so good

My parents were making sausage and peppers and fresh green beans with garlic for dinner as per my request.

i waited ALL DAY for dinner and couldnt wait to eat.

Mommy made me a nice small plate of food and i managed to eat a piece of sandwhich and my green beans and a few minutes later i just couldnt eat. I felt sick again. It wasnt the food it was just my weird ass appetite. The food was great and i literally was about in tears because i wanted to eat my dinner and i just couldnt. This also happened a couple of days ago with my leftover chinese.. i wanted it so bad and once i heated it up i was like nope cant eat it..

JUST ANOTHER ONE OF THE JOYS OF PREGNANCY!

THE SCREAMER!!( WHAT WOULD U DO?)

So i was at Walmart with my mom on saturday night. We needed to get me some bigger panties-(lol yup mine are uncomfortable now) and some bras and a couple outfits since my clothes are starting to get uncomfortable and im not big enough for maternity clothes..

Well...

we are walking through the store talking laughing and enjoying ourselves until we hear a kid SCREAMING at the top of their lungs. Now honestly in all the years ive been going shopping i have NEVER heard a kid scream like this.. we thought it was a younger kid and wondering why wont that parent calm the kid down???

we end up by the produce section and see the kid and the mom and another kid

the "kid" that was screaming had to be ATLEAST 5 years old. she didnt want to be in the cart and what looked like maybe the younger sister was like "please make her stop crying".

The mom bends down and is sweet talking her "want a cookie? ect" and she still wouldnt stop. this kid had been already screaming atleast 20 minutes

now. I for one would probably left my cart and walked the hell out of the stre as a respect for everyone because fgor whatever reason i dont know how to control my kid.

It wasnt like it was a small baby and the poor mom needed to get some milk and bread. this was an older child that understands what her mom is saying.

Needless to say i was about to cry in fear that this is what my baby is going to be lie and i wont be able to control him/her.

I myself at this point (to get done shopping) probably would have bribed the child with something.

"if you stop crying mommy will get you a lollipop..but you need to behave til checkout"

Other parents believe that the kid should get a swift swat on their hiney.

I dont believe in SPANKING my child but i sure as hell got some swats back in the day and they worked.

I'm curious..

If your child was totally bugging out

(and wasn't like under 3 years old...)

Sorry i have been so missing lately..

At about 6 weeks pregnant i started getting REALLY BAD all day sickness.. and I thought it would never end. But i ended up getting the throw up pills and its been under control. Then last week i came down with a HORRIBLE cold that i am still fighting. So needless to say.. I have spent the last 3 weeks pretty much in bed. I havent even gotten a chance to write about my first ultrasound and prenatal appointment and my first trip to the hospital and my birthday. I am hoping to get all of that stuff up by next week and try to stay on track as much as i can. I am so glad to be back!!

FIRST ULTRASOUND- 8/31

BABY ARENZ - 7 WEEKS

On 8/31 i had my first ultrasound. They had told me to drink A LOT of water prior to my visit. Well, we got there and i signed in and before i knew it we got called back. I was hoping my mom would make it on time and wouldnt miss anything..but she wasnt there yet. Well.. i get onto the table and i am told to pull my pants down. well my dumbass pulls them down to under my belly button. The tech was like no..down more i was like ohhh.. so here i am at only 7 weeks pregnant thinking that they are going to do the ultrasound on my stomache.. DUH!

So i get myself settled and the tech tries really hard and cant find anything.. well.. come to find out i didnt drink enough water! So she sent me with 2 cups of water back to the waiting area and called someone else in. Thankfully mommy was there by then so her and randy got to watch me try to choke down as much water as possible without throwing up.

20 minutes later i go back in for round 2.. thinking my bladder is full.. she put the warm goo on my tummy and started searching for baby for what seemed like forever. I am laying there almost in tears thinking something must be wrong because shes not saying ANYTHING. im like "is there a baby in there?" "is everything ok" "please tell me". and im bugging and shes just concentrating and finally she turned the sound on and i got to hear my baby's heartbeat<3 I instantly started to tear up:)

She couldnt get the pictures she needed to get since my bladder wasnt full enough so she decided to do an internal ultrasound.. (which wasnt that bad at all)

I finally got to pee and then she called in mommy and randy and we got going on the internal ultrasound. Seriously within seconds we could see the baby. It was the most amazing little thing ever. And she should us where the heart was. It was a tiny little dot moving super fast. And then all 3 of us got to hear the heartbeat and the tears started flowing. My mom was so cute talking to the ultrasound and i was so engrossed in looking at my babys first tv debut that i didnt even look up and see randys reaction!

Needless to say it was the most amazing undescribable experience ever.

At that moment i finally felt like i was pregnant. It felt so real to me. There is a tiny baby in me and the heart is already beating at 7 weeks<3

On 8/31 i was 7 weeks

Gest Sac = 2.37 cm

Yolk Sac = .26 cm

i was like mmm a nice california cheesesteak with tons of oil and vinegar and mayo, some french fries and something else like a nice slice of sicilian with meatballs mushrooms and onions..YUM!

WELL..

my stupid ass cant get into my online banking..

so i cannot transfer money into my checking account from my savings..

randy tried to sign in and cant either..
and i am too annoyed right now to call and deal with someone thats probably going to annoy me even more..

SO..WHAT AM I GOING TO DO???

i guess im not getting what im craving and im stuck trying to figure out something to eat..

Since this blog is focused on my pregnancy i figured i would post about last night..
So..as you all know i am only 6 weeks pregnant going on 7
I have read and heard that sex was safe in pregnancy but i was still really scared about it..
I felt bad for denying my fiance itsince i found out i was pregnant but for some reason i was convinced it would lead to a miscarriage..
why? i have no idea..its my first pregnancy and i was scared it would make me bleed..
well..
long story short..i was fine.. i did not bleed..and the baby is fine
afterwords my fiance decided to read to me the section in his book about sex during pregnancy..that made me feel alot better
needless to say..i COULD NOT relax so i ended up a bit sore.. but thankfully i have a great friend Heather thati could talk to about anything and i texted her and she said its normal to be sore..
Now i told him this wont be an all the time thing because i honestly havent been feeling good and i was starting to get nautious towards the end.. but atleast i know its safe and ok to do..

MORNING SICKNESS? YEAH RIGHT- MORE LIKE ALL DAY SICKNESS!

So, yesterday i had my first taste of "morning sickness"..it wasnt that bad cuz there wasnt anything in my stomach..

WELL.. that all changed after i decided to eat a pack of pretzel m&m's (my fav) and then proceeded to get VIOLENTLY sick about 20 minutes later..

I wish i would just have the morning sickness and not any time of the day sickness because i am starving and so so so scared to eat because i dont want to get sick again..

any remedies you have for morning sickness/anytime sickness would be very appreciated...

Anyway.. one of the biggest side effects of being pregnant i have had lately is.. SMELLS
Now, not food smells suprisingly (yet)
But perfume smells and the plug-ins that my fiance’s dad has in every corner of the house!!

1ST APPOINTMENT!

So..yesterday was my first appointment. It was a gloomy rainy day…I went thinking I was going to get an exam and ultrasound..but that wasnt what the appointment was all about. I was wondering when I signed in why I didnt have any paperwork to fill out.

First we got called to the back to talk to the financial lady. She was very nice and filled out an application for me to get Family care insurance.

After we spoke to her we had to go to the 2nd floor of the hospital to talk to the nurse and give her our history. She was also very nice. She gave me an envelope FULL of stuff to read. And in it was this months issue of Fit Pregnancy! There was also information on the hospital/maternity ward. And we found out that with the insurance i will be getting all of the classes offered at the hospital will be free!! She figured i was about 6 weeks along and my due date was April 20th. We answered a bunch of questions and she gave me a paper for bloodwork and an ultrasound.

We went back downstairs to where we came in to get the bloodwork. I was SUPER NERVOUS because i have had bad experiences getting blood taken. One time i passed out so i was totally scared to get my blood taken this time. There was an older nurse and i told her i was very scared. I made the mistake of looking at her pull out all of the viles she was going to be using. There were atleast 8 of them. So i asked her.. ” do u need to ill them up all the way?” yeah i was hoping she wouldnt need to fill them up too much. It took forever to find a vein. She finally did and she talked me through the whole time. Honestly the little prick in my arm DID NOT HURT. But i was so nervous that i started getting really hot and feeling faint. I kept asking if she was done yet and if i could have some water. She continued to talk to me and said i was doing great and that when we were done she would get me a nice cold cup of water. Finally it was over and i did a great job.. and didnt pass out!! Then came the dreadid urine sample. Ok, of course i had to pee.. but im telling you..its hard to pee in a cup! Why cant they put those things into the toilet t catch the pee and make my life so much easier then trying to squat and almost peeing on myself?? lol.

Then the appointment was over and we went home. Now the plan is to make an appointment for my first ultrasound for next tuesday (because the fiance is off) and i have an appointment for 9/1 to get a pap, breast exam, ect. Then comes the fun appointments!!

A SCARE!

Thismorning i woke up and had some light pink blood after i wiped. I got really nervous and thought something was wrong. I did throw up so i think that was a good sign. There was no more bleeding and i read up on it and talked to a few people that told me that it is normal for this to happen. And i should be ok as long as im not in pain, cramping, or bleeding heavily. Thankfully it was only that one time and i am ok now.
I also went to a place called Birthright to get a pregnancy test confirmed so i can go to our first prenatal appointment tomorrow.
It is going to be an intake appointment so im not sure exactly what they are doing but i was told i may get an ultrasound. I can’t wait to see our baby on the screen!!
Oh and the test was also POSTITIVE at Birthright..
so i am indeed PREGNANT!

So this past tuesday (about a week ago) i realized that my period was a few days late. So i bought a couple of tests and they both came out POSITIVE! So i am pregnant! My fiance was happy but we were very scared to tell our parents. We told them and now everyone is very excited about the new addition to our families.
